Magnetic Flux Sensing Exploiting Two SQUIPTs Connected by Means of a Floating Island

Magnetometers exploiting interference effect of the superconducting wavefunction are known since realization first SQUID, with several improvements in performance following years. In this field, Superconducting Quantum Interference Proximity Transistor (SQUIPT) offers an interesting alternative to conventional SQUID thanks its lower power dissipation that makes it ideal for nanoscale and ultra-low temperature (T <; 1 mK) applications, where very low is required. Here, a device composed two facing fully SQUIPT proposed. Numerical simulations demonstrate how interplay between behaviours couple tunnel junctions such design accounts promising performances as both flux-to-current flux-to-voltage transducer.
